The
Chicago Moving Company is heralded as a community-arts leader, known nationwide
for its groundbreaking work with neighborhoods, schools and peoples often
overlooked. Over the past 34 years, the company has developed and fine-tuned
exemplary arts programming for youth, seniors, inner-city schools, people
with disabilities, and rural and urban communities. The company is especially
known for its pioneering work in the Chicago Public Schools and arts-education
programs that engage the whole child--body, mind and spirit. In recognition
of its superlative community work, CMC has received Service Recognition
Awards from the Illinois Alliance for Arts Education; the Boulevard's Arts
Center's Presidents Award; and a prestigious National Endowment for the
Arts partnership.
